Vinegar

Did you know there are more than 75 ways to use Vinegar? I knew of quite a few ways until I stumbled upon a website that told me a ton of vinegar uses...some I had not considered! Since this blog is a recipes/health blog, I decided to include a few of the uses of Vinegar in the kitchen and for fighting that stubborn cold.

Broccoli, Cheese & Rice Casserole

This recipe is my all time favorite winter weather dish. I serve it during family get-togethers as a hot side dish. I like it so much that I have it as my main meal and then reheat it for lunch the next day. I hope you like it as well :)

Perfect For:

  • holiday side dish
  • cozy, comfort dish
  • Add 2 cups of cubed chicken for a main dish
Ingredients:
1 cup cooked rice, rinse & drain
1 pkg chopped broccoli
1 can Campbell's Cheese Soup
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup of milk
1 can sliced water chestnuts
3 Tbs margarine
1/2 cup chopped celery

Instructions:
Saute onions and celery in margarine. Mix soups, milk, water chestnuts, onions and celery. Add rice and broccoli. Put in 2 quart casserole dish or 8 x 8 dish. Bake 350 degrees for 50 min.-1 hour until bubbly hot.
